There is no wasted space on the Mersin. The uprights and purlins of this retractable patio cover meet together at a smooth L-shaped angle, flush at the top, and with an optional overhang for a nearly perfectly smooth profile. Because the purlins meet the uprights without the overhang option, the transversal beam is tucked back. With the gutter, the beam is set directly in the elbow where the purlin and uprights meet, and the gutter is hidden in the beam. Either way, the design focus remains on the linear flow of the purlin and uprights. 

The minimalism of the Mersin frame effectively brings more attention to the fabric of the patio cover itself, adding a hint of color within the frame.

 A Diverse Selection of Enclosures

Our retractable patio cover series uses a permanent pergola framework to support the retractable awning fabric and to define the space. Because of the permanent frame, our patio covers can easily be enclosed to provide both privacy and protection from wind, rain, sun, bugs, and even pollen.

Two different types of enclosures can be used with any of our patio covers, and any or all of them can be used at once:

• Installing vertical drop screens on the beams of the patio covers for retractable wind, rain, sun, bugs, and pollen control

• Choosing frameless or framed sliding glass doors for the strongest sense of quiet, privacy, and seclusion – almost like permanent construction. It provides complete wind, rain, sun, bugs, and pollen control

• Creating height and flooding your interior with light by using the retractable guillotine window that comprises two or more vertically sliding frames, it provides complete wind, rain, sun, bug, and pollen control
